We welcome gifts via Donor Advised Funds! A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a charitable investment account for the sole purpose of supporting causes you care about. BrightSpark welcomes local businesses, community members, and other groups to host events that benefit BrightSpark through third-party events! A third-party event is a fundraising activity hosted by a group, organization, business, or individual to raise funds. If you are interested in utilizing a third-party event to benefit BrightSpark, please fill out the form below and we will contact you shortly. See some examples below!

• Community Classes: Providing classes (yoga, cooking, art) with proceeds directed to BrightSpark.
• Proceed Percentages: Hosts a proceed day/week/month where a percentage of sales goes directly to BrightSpark.
• Round-up: Ask patrons to round up their sales to the nearest dollar and those round-up dollars go to BrightSpark.
• Charity Concerts: Hosting a music concert where ticket sales go to BrightSpark.
• Themed Dinners: Organizing dinner events with themes, where proceeds from ticket sales and auctions benefit BrightSpark.
• Walkathons/Marathons: Coordinating sponsored walk/run events where participants raise funds through pledges.
• Sporting Events: Hosting tournaments (golf, tennis, basketball, etc.) with entry fees and sponsorships supporting BrightSpark.
• Film Screenings: Organizing special film screenings with ticket sales directed to BrightSpark.
• Social Media Campaigns: Utilizing social media platforms for fundraising drives, encouraging followers to donate and follow BrightSpark on social media.
• Peer-to-Peer Fundraising: Join our annual Spring Bloom Together campaign by creating your own fundraising page and solicit donations from your networks.
• Merchandise Sales: Selling branded merchandise, such as T-shirts, mugs, or tote bags, with proceeds going to BrightSpark.
• Cookbook or Art Book Sales: Publishing and selling cookbooks, art books, or photo books with proceeds directed to BrightSpark.
• Payroll Giving Programs: Setting up automatic payroll deductions for employees to donate regularly.
• Employee Fundraising Challenges: Organizing friendly competitions among employees to raise funds.
• Talent Shows: Hosting talent shows featuring local performers, with ticket sales supporting BrightSpark.
• Car Washes: Organizing car wash events where donations are collected in exchange for services.
• Bake Sales: Conducting bake sales where proceeds go to BrightSpark.
• Book Fairs: Hosting book fairs or book sales with donated books, and proceeds benefiting BrightSpark.

Does your place of employment match donation gifts? If so, taking advantage of this benefit will double your impact! Contact your employer to confirm and learn more about their gift matching policies. If you need assistance or documentation to support your gift being matched, please email our Fund Development department.

If you are interested in contributing a planned gift, we would love to work with you! Planned gifts can include bequests and trusts, retirement plans and life insurance, gift annuities, and gifts of appreciaated securities. Please email our Fund Development department and we would be happy to assist you.

Honorary and memorial gifts are a special way to perpetuate the values and legacy of a loved one. If you are interested or have questions about designating an honorary of memorial gift, please contact us. You can also check the box “I would like to dedicate this gift” on our donation form.

A gift of securities, such as stocks, bonds and mutual funds, can be an incredible way to support our mission! A gift of securities has many benefits including an immediate charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock and avoiding capital gains taxes. Please email our Fund Development department to discuss your gift and get transfer instructions.

Your support—both on a one-time and recurring basis—help us work toward our mission to nurture and sustain child-centered, antiracist early learning communities. Being a part of our board is a fantastic way to get involved with helping us further our mission! If you are passionate about creating child-centered, antiracist early learning environments we would love for you to consider joining our board. The Board of Directors is primarily concerned with helping the agency achieve its mission by establishing outcomes, setting strategic direction, developing board policies, and evaluating and supporting the chief executive officer.
