Behind Every Thriving Child…

Community Centric Fundraising News Philanthropy Updates

…is a Provider Committed to Growing!

Every day, child care providers make hundreds of decisions that shape a child’s experience, how they comfort a child who is upset, how they welcome a family into the classroom, and how they create spaces where children feel safe, valued, and supported.

For the team at Lil’ People’s World in Bellevue, providing high-quality care means never stopping their own learning.

Since 2024, staff at the program have participated in BrightSpark’s Professional Growth & Development trainings, attending classes together to strengthen their skills and better support the more than 80 children in their care.

One educator shared that the experience transformed how they approach relationships with families. “I have a better understanding about families and backgrounds. I’ve learned to not judge culture but more to learn, respect, and understand diversity.”

That learning didn’t stay in the classroom training, it showed up in the children’s classroom.

“Representing my students’ culture in my classroom helps make families and students feel comfortable. It helps me build healthy relationships with families. Families feel safe and happy when entering the classroom.”

Quality child care isn’t built in a day. It’s built through ongoing learning, reflection, and a commitment to growth.

Throughout the summer, we’ll introduce you to providers across our region and share how BrightSpark helps them continue learning, growing, and creating nurturing environments where children thrive.

Because when providers have the support they need, children and families benefit too.

Help sustain the learning that makes high-quality care possible. Make a gift today to support BrightSpark’s work alongside child care providers and help strengthen early learning across our region.
