What stability really looks like.
As part of our Spring Bloom Together Campaign, we’re continuing to share Zoe’s story and what access to child care truly makes possible.
“Literally, I would not be anywhere if it wasn’t for his provider.”
Before finding care, Zoe described each day as uncertain—balancing school, parenting, and basic needs without a reliable support system. After connecting with BrightSpark, her son Mari entered care at just six months old. Now three, he’s in a place where he has friends and trusted adults who know him well.
That support looks like:
- Teachers who check in regularly and share what he’s learning
- A consistent, safe environment where he feels comfortable and known
- Daily routines that help him build confidence, social skills, and independence

That trust changed everything. With reliable care in place:
- Zoe is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree
- She’s applying for jobs and building a sustainable career
- She has peace of mind knowing her son is safe and supported
“I think he’s ready for school,” she said. “The teachers are really communicative and tell me what we need to work on. I feel like he’s so prepared.”
This is what access creates: stability, confidence, and possibility—not just for today, but for the future.
Donor support helps sustain these relationships and systems—ensuring providers, programs, and family supports remain accessible, especially when public funding falls short and demand continues to rise.
Because every child deserves a place where they belong. And every parent deserves the chance to build strong foundations.
With appreciation,
BrightSpark
