2023 in Review: Let’s Talk Subsidies!

As we continue to share with you all the work we’ve accomplished in 2023, BrightSpark wanted to shine a light on our incredible Homeless Child Care Subsidy Program and Child Care Financial Assistance Program! In 2023 we made a huge impact – distributing just under $2.5 million in subsidies and child care vouchers directly to low-income and homeless families.

We are so proud of the work we did last year to help families find early learning programs that fit their unique needs, and we couldn’t have done it without the generosity of our community of supporters. Please help us continue this work to uplift the children and families in our communities. Every dollar donated helps us to provide resources directly to families, and our goal is to provide even more support for families next year. Together we can #DoMorein2024!

About Our Homeless Child Care Subsidy Program

BrightSpark’s Homeless Child Care Subsidy Program has been around since 2003.

“Since the inception of BrightSpark’s Child Care Subsidy Program, we have disseminated over 16 million dollars in subsidy funding and tuition assistance for families. This safety net program is critical for families who are working to find more stability and need a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for their children each day.” – Maggie Heard, BrightSpark’s Family Navigation Lead
