This training is designed for licensed in-home and center providers. Its aim is to develop a shared understanding of the importance of culture in the acquisition of language, the benefits of learning more than one language, and the best practices that support language development for all children. There is no expectation that individuals participating in this training are bilingual. The aim of this training is to equip either bilingual or monolingual providers, teachers, early learning providers, coaches and mentors with the tools to best support dual language learners (DLL). This is an introductory training to build a shared foundation for working with children learning more than one language. Participants will receive FREE classroom materials to support children in their care. 12 STARS hours will be granted upon completion of the class. Must attend all sessions to receive credit. No partial credit will be given. |
