Behavior Guidance: Guiding Behavior through a Responsive Early Learning Environment (Summer 2026)

Description

Managing behavior while maintaining a positive classroom climate can be quite a balancing act. Many teachers wonder exactly what a “positive climate” looks like in everyday life, and how it can be maintained in a classroom with challenging behaviors. In this session you’ll look at CLASS indicators of positive climate, evaluate video footage of real-life responses to challenging behavior, and set goals for improving your own behavior guidance techniques. This workshop supports Early Achievers by focusing on skills measured by CLASS, but will provide useful information to all participants.
