This past year, BrightSpark has: Helped providers reach the highest levels of quality in Washington State’s Early Achievers system (Read our blog post here!) Expanded access to affordable child care for hundreds of families Invested in the professional development of child care educators across our region That’s just the beginning. Last year, our Family Center Referral Specialist… Supported 1,195 families experiencing poverty Supported 771 families experiencing homelessness Last year, our Family, Friend and Neighbor (FFN) team… Supported 7,417 parents and caregivers through the Kaleidoscope Play & Learn (KPL) programs Over 70% of children rely on FFN care in the State of Washington Last year, Best Starts for Kids… Provided subsidies to 944 families – that’s over 1,500 children who were able to access child care Distributed $14,478,736.44 to help families afford care |
