Only 2 Days Left — Bloom Together Before May 31!
Dear BrightSpark Supporters,
Our Bloom Together Campaign ends this Saturday, May 31— and we need your support now more than ever.
Your gift today helps us close out the campaign strong and carry forward the vital work of building child-centered, antiracist early learning communities across King and Pierce Counties.
This year, your generosity doesn’t just help us meet a goal; it helps us face a challenge.
The 2026–2027 Washington State Budget was signed by the governor and included significant financial cuts to programs offered at BrightSpark that will affect early learning across King and Pierce Counties. We are bracing for challenging months ahead for providers and families, and your support in this moment allows us to plan and act boldly.
You can help sustain the work we do by becoming a Monthly Donor!
By becoming a monthly donor, you are joining a group of caring community members who are committed to sustaining access to high-quality early learning for children across King and Pierce Counties. You can join this group of change makers by starting a monthly gift today!
Through a $5 or $25 monthly gift, your support goes the extra mile for children and families. Every gift—big or small, one-time or monthly—helps protect what matters most: nurturing and sustaining antiracist early learning communities where every child can thrive.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for standing with families, children, and early learning providers when it counts most.
With gratitude,
The BrightSpark Fund Development Team
Here’s how the 2026-2027 Washington State Budget Will Impact Us All & What You Can Do To Support
Family, Friend, and Neighbor Programs & Play Groups
This trusted care option, relied on by families who can’t access traditional child care, is losing significant state funding starting July 2025. Beginning this summer, many play groups will end and families will feel the loss immediately unless we step up now to sustain and protect it.
Holding Hope: Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation
Our capacity to support young children through emotional and behavioral challenges has been cut in half. This program–which was supported by 11 staff–will now only have 2 staff. This means fewer mental health consultants are available leading to less engagement from providers and families. Therefore, fewer kids will get the support they need—unless we stand up now.
Your support helps us protect and expand access to high-quality early learning programs for families across King and Pierce Counties.
