This training presents recommended strategies and practices for easing different types of transitions in the school-age care environment. This includes transitions from one setting or activity to another as well as life’s many other transitions, some of which arise unexpectedly.

Learning Objectives

Participants will: Identify types of transitions to use with school-age children Demonstrate an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for promoting smooth, effective transitions Identify common challenges to successful transitions Identify recommended strategies to plan for positive, enriching transition
